Job Description:

The skilled Electrician will be responsible for assisting  installing and repairing a variety of electrical systems in both new and existing structures at the resort, as well as supervising junior electricians on the job. The Senior Electrician will be reporting to the Project Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

We are in search of a skilled Electrician to add to our team! In this position, you will generally be responsible for installing and repairing a variety of electrical systems in both new and existing structures, as well as supervising junior electricians on the job.
• Assist in Oversee the work of junior electricians on the job.
• Install the needed wiring, light fixtures, security systems, controls, transformers, breakers, etc., to produce a fully functional electrical system.
• Respond to calls regarding failed electrical systems.
• Work hard to troubleshoot any problems that may arise.

 

Selection Criteria:

• Must have 3-5 years of experience as an electrician .
• Must be in possession of a high school degree or equivalent
• Must be able to maintain a safe work environment at all times
• Must have a strong working knowledge of electrical systems
• Must be a critical thinker that is adept at solving problems

Key Responsibilities/Duties
• Assist in the development of the Annual Business Plan and Financial Budget and to use this as a guide to controlling expenditure during the financial year.

• Implement on the job training initiatives with particular emphasis on coordinated and structured on job training aligned with service standards and service procedures.
• Establish and maintain safe working conditions and practices following Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Ensure every member of the team is able to sell Hotel facilities and is aware of special company promotions and upgrades.
• Consistently deliver a product and service to meet the quality, standards and expectations of guests whilst delivering the promises made by the Sales Team.
• Maintain a register of all service equipment maintenance and breakages; ensure that regular programmed maintenance is carried out to manufacturers specifications.
• Ensure Hotel, Customer and Staff information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company.
• To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel's staff handbook and the regulations contained therein.
• To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Resort's policy relating to fire, health and hygiene, cyclone and safety procedures.
• Undertake any other reasonable duty assigned by your Department Head and/or General Manager and/or his appointed Assistant.

Selection Criteria:


Our ideal candidate:

Previous Front Office management experience or Senior role within a 4 or 5 star hotel;
A demonstrated history of achieving financial targets and working within a budget;
Experience in coaching and developing a team, recruitment and performance management;
Excellent organisational, time management and computer literacy skills;
The ability to deal with guest issues in a timely, positive and professional manner;
Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills;
A high standard of personal presentation;
Formal qualifications in Hotel Management are desirable but not essential

Duties of a spa therapist will include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
• Conducting skin analysis and advising clients on skin and body care.
• Provide all signature massage treatments, spa therapies, all hand and foot treatments, facials, waxing, and retail products recommendations and sales
• Making appointments, maintaining client records and handling financial transactions.
• Selling and providing advice on cosmetic and skin care products.
• Use of proper etiquette and professionalism at all times
• Maintain and develop a client base
• Follow the established spa guidelines for all spa programmes and services. Actively sell additional spa services, ensuring return visits
• Maintain current knowledge of all spa services, pricings, offerings, schedules and specials
• Encourage up selling, link selling and retail sales with every guest.
• Attend training sessions and product knowledge courses as required
• Escort all guests to changing rooms
• Greet all arriving and departing guests
• Respond to all guest concerns or complaints with discretion
• Advise all incoming guests of treatment procedures and billing information
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order and functioning properly.
• Maintain treatment room & linen cleanliness at all times

Duties of a Security Officer will include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• This person will be responsible for the protection of hotel assets as well as the prevention of theft, minimisation of public liability hazards in and around the hotel premises and the maintenance of Fire Safety equipment as well as the management of a team of security officers operating 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Guest Experience Officer

Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, you will plan, arrange, and promote tours and travel options, working with local tour operators, airlines and other transport companies for ground travel, in order to execute the arrangements. Provide customers with advice about where to travel as well as the best means of reaching such destinations.
Duties will include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
• Selling local tours to in house guests
• Providing general and specific advice about different travel and tour destinations
• Drawing up travel itineraries and ensuring that all the needs of the customers are met
• Making arrangements for transport, accommodation, tours, and activities
• Contacting airlines, hotels, and ground transport companies such as coach operators to make suitable arrangements
• Advising the customer about local tour issues including required documentation and financial matters, such as appropriate exchange rates
• Using the computer database to research information
• Dealing with tour bookings and payments
• Performing general administration tasks
• Organise contracts of Tour Operators to be signed by Iririki
• Ensure a copy of Certificate of Currency for Public Liability are up to date with each Tour Operators
• Making presentations to travel groups
• Creating and putting up displays at the resort

 

Selection Criteria:

• Experience in selling tours and travel
• Minimum 2 years experience in the industry
