Job Desctiption:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all maintenance activities across Ocean Logistics Limited’s fleet of vessels and land-based mechanical assets. The role ensures operational readiness, compliance with safety regulations, and efficient use of resources. This position plays a key leadership role in managing the MEX Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and guiding a team of mechanics, engineers, and technical personnel to achieve high-performance maintenance standards.

 

Selection Criteria:

• Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in marine or heavy equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Proven experience managing maintenance programs for vessel fleets, industrial facilities, or heavy machinery operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably MEX — including scheduling, defect logging, preventive maintenance planning, and reporting.
• Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, CMMS platforms, and cloud-based reporting tools).
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams of technicians and mechanics, delegate tasks, and maintain accountability in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Clear and confident communicator with strong English writing and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in remote, multicultural field environments and respond quickly to operational challenges.
• Willingness to work across office settings, onboard vessels, and on project sites.
