Nicon Ltd is based in Luganville, Vanuatu and has a shipyard and shipping services.Are you an experienced Diesel Mechanic with a strong background in both marine and civil machinery? We’re looking for two skilled and motivated professionals to join our hardworking team!
Job Desctiption:
• Maintenance and repair of diesel engines on both marine and land-based heavy equipment
• Operation and testing of heavy equipment and cranes
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues efficiently
• Supporting vessel readiness and dockside operations
• Ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld
Selection Criteria:
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in diesel mechanic
Proficient in English (spoken & written)
Solid knowledge of marine vessels and civil equipment with relevant trade certification
Strong team player with a can-do attitude, flexible attitude and be cool under pressure
Reliable and ready to work 6 days a week
Comfortable working around vessels and portside maintenance
Maintenance and diagnostic skills
Be able to multitask on a diverse range of jobs
