Organisation Description:
GX Foundation is a Chinese medical humanitarian and charitable organization established in Hong Kong in 2018. It aims to provide medical and public health humanitarian assistance to "Belt and Road" countries, embodying the spirit of "people-to-people connectivity."
The foundation has signed a memorandum of understanding with five countries and plans to provide free vision restoration surgeries for 37,500 patients in Laos, Cambodia, Djibouti, Senegal, and Mauritania from 2022 to 2027, helping to completely eliminate the backlog of blindness caused by cataracts in the local area.
GX also signed a memorandum of understanding with the local government of Vanuatu to launch a two-year national Malaria, Dengue Fever, and other Vector-borne Disease Control Programme, making Vanuatu the eighth country to host a GX Foundation project. A pilot project will take place from March to July 2025. In the future, GX Foundation plans to implement more diverse public health projects in Vanuatu.
Job Desctiption:
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure smooth daily project operations with relevant stakeholders (local health department, other local volunteer and local counterparts)
• Facilitate and provide inventory management
• Promote local awareness of health program
• Liaison and translation between project and medical team, hospital staff and counterparts
• Support local resources delivery like test kits, bed nets, mosquito lamps, promotion materials
• Assist to launch and follow up of all GX local project and activities
• Other duties as assigned by Project Director & Field Office Coordinator
Selection Criteria:
Job Requirements:
• Diploma holder or above preferred
• 2 years work experience
• Candidates with experience in project management or field hospital management is definitely an advantage
• Good command of Bislama, French, and English
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player with strong sense of responsibility
• Immediate availability is preferred
