Job Desctiption:
A crane operator at Ocean Logistics Ltd is responsible for safely operating cranes to load, unload, and transport cargo between barges, tugboats, and docks. They ensure efficient handling of heavy equipment and materials, following safety regulations and operational procedures. Their role includes conducting equipment inspections, coordinating with deck crews, and maintaining precise control over lifting operations to prevent accidents and delays.
Selection Criteria:
Experience & Certification – Proven crane operation experience in maritime/logistics; valid certification.
Technical Skills & Safety – Proficient in crane operation, load handling, and safety regulations.
Physical Fitness – Good health, strong coordination, and ability to work in tough conditions.
Communication & Teamwork – Clear communication and teamwork skills for safe operations.
Problem-Solving – Quick thinking and sound judgment in challenging situations.
Reliability – Strong work ethic, punctuality, and flexibility for shifts/overtime.
