Close access to shops and fresh market.
Fully operational Monday to Sunday. Tour desk onsite. 24 hrs reception service.

 

Job Desctiption:

Sous Chef is in charge of food preparation expert who assists the head chef in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
Their responsibilities include:
Managing the kitchen
Supervising kitchen staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly
Menu planning
Collaborating with the head chef to design the menu and create, test, and refine recipes
Food preparation
Preparing dishes and ensuring they meet the chef's standards
Inventory and supplies
Tracking inventory, ordering supplies, and managing inventory and supply levels
Scheduling
Creating work schedules for the kitchen staff, and possibly managing staff payroll
Training
Onboarding new kitchen staff members
Safety
Ensuring the kitchen meets health department regulations and follows food safety guidelines
Leading in the head chef's absence
Running the kitchen and leading the kitchen staff when the head chef is not present

 

Selection Criteria:

Education: degree in culinary or a related field
Experience: At least two years of experience in a similar role
Culinary skills: Knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
Leadership: The ability to work well with others and motivate a team
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Food safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Creativity: The ability to develop new menu items
Organization: The ability to work efficiently under pressure
Assisting the head chef
Managing the kitchen
Maintaining food safety standards
Developing menus
Preparing and presenting meals
Supervising kitchen staff
Monitoring inventory and ordering supplies
