Organisation Description:
Interchange is a leader in digital transformation and supplier of wholesale telecommunications infrastructure, servicing all licensed telecommunication operators in Vanuatu both nationally and internationally.
Job Desctiption:
Board Administration and Support: prepare all Board reports, accounts and advise the Board and be the interface between the Board and the staff.
Program Product and Service Delivery: oversee the design, marketing, delivery and quality of the Company's products and services and execute the business plan 2024–2026 to ensure revenues are in line with the budget.
Manage Customer and Supplier Relationship: engage actively in maintaining and enhancing relationships with the Company's suppliers and customers, and promptly address any arising issues or conflicts.
Media Engagement: engage with the media regarding matters concerning the Company. The Employee is expected to exercise discretion and good judgment in sharing information related to the Company to the media.
Financial, Resource and Risk Management: provide annual budgets for Board approval and manage resources within those budget guidelines.
Human Resources Management: manage human resources according to Company policies and the local laws.
Community and Public Relations: assure that the Company's vision, products and services are presented to the community with a strong and positive message.
Community Growth: provide revenue targets for Board approval and ensure that the Company meets these targets as in the business plan 2024–2026.
Selection Criteria:
The General manager should have the following experience:
o Finance / Accounting / Annual audits
o Negotiation skills and experience dealing with large muti-national companies.
o Strong experience designing and reviewing Service Level Agreements
o Customer Support / Relations
o Legal / Governance / Regulatory compliance
o Business Development and a strong track record of rolling out innovative telecommunications technology.
o Business Management Systems
o Procurement / Supplier Contracts
o Marketing, designs campaigns, product launches and product pricing
o Strong track record of delivering Telecommunication infrastructure rollouts designing budgets and delivering the projects on time and within budget
o Experience in the developing world as a CEO or GM managing companies and growing their revenues.
o Good public speaking and presentation skills and have represented companies at conferences globally.
o Good international experience working with diverse groups of people.
o Experience in fund raising internationally and securing appropriate finance for the company.
o Good experience working with new technologies and strong understanding of how-to future proof telecommunications industry
Required Skills and Abilities
•Experience in a senior management position in the telecommunications industry.
•Ability to manage large scale projects and deliver on project plans.
•Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management
•Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce.
•Experience with corporate governance.
•Proven negotiation skills.
•Ability to understand new issues and make informed decisions.
•Ability to inspire confidence, motivate staff and mentor subordinates.
•Ability to work under pressure.
