Job Desctiption:
We are looking to hire an experience heavy equipment mechanic/ diesel fitter to look after our small fleet of Landing craft in Vanuatu.
He will be in charge of vessels scheduled maintenance and slipping, maintenance of all equipment from vehicle, forklift, generators and Diesel compressor.
He will be responsible for ordering Parts and inventory of all parts, tools and equipment.
Must know how to handle and train staff under him.
Selection Criteria:
Requirement:
• Certificate as a heavy equipment mechanic
• Proven work experience as a diesel fitter or heavy equipment mechanic with marine background.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines like Cummins NTA 855 Big Cam, KT19 and John Deere
• Good communication skills and computer literate
• Good leadership skills and can handle a team
• Required to work on land or sea depending on needs of the company
• Must be in good health.
