Organisation Description:
The Vanuatu Tennis Federation is a non-government and charitable organization which aims, according to its Constitution to:
- promote, develop, enhance and protect the sport of Tennis mainly as an amateur sport for the recreation and entertainment of the general public in Vanuatu;
- foster the growth and development of the sport of Tennis in Vanuatu
- maintain recognition from and by the ITF;
- uphold and enforce the Rules of Tennis and of ITF;
- promote good governance in, and preserve the ethics, integrity and independence of, Tennis as a sport.
As of January 2025, Vanuatu Tennis Federation will directly manage the operations of its National Centre located in Port-Vila at the Stade Area.
Job Desctiption:
- FULL TIME POSITION
- Patrol the premises regularly to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances to assess security breaches or emergency situations.
- Write detailed reports on nightly patrols, incidents, and any security breaches, including times, dates, and descriptions of what was observed.
- Check in visitors or contractors who may be entering the premises after hours, ensuring they have proper authorization and escorting them to their destinations if necessary.
- Inspect and maintain security equipment, such as alarms, cameras, and lighting, to ensure they are fully functional.
- Enforce property rules and regulations to prevent criminal activity and ensure the safety of all occupants and visitors.
- Assist in emergency situations, such as fires or medical emergencies, by guiding occupants to safety and providing first aid until emergency services arrive.
Selection Criteria:
1. Vanuatu Citizen.
2. Minimum Year 10 Certificate.
3. Minimum 3 years' experience.
4. Ability to manage your time efficiently.
5. Work well unsupervised.
6. Be physically fit. Preference will be given to candidates with proven martial arts experience.
7. Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with members and guests.
9. Hard worker.
Key considerations:
- Position to start on the 1st January 2025.
- Vanuatu Tennis has approximately 200 members, mostly under 18 years old;
- Vanuatu Tennis's cultural diversity should be taken into account when applying;
- Vanuatu Tennis has a strict Child Protection Policy;
- No alcohol or kava consumer. Consumption of alcohol and kava is forbidden on the premises for VTF Staff.
