Job Desctiption:
Iririki Island Resort & Spa is seeking a suitable candidate to appoint for the role of F& B Outlet Supervisor. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Director, the duties for this role will include:
Supervise restaurant and Bar staff and area assigned to him/her under the direct guidance and instructions of the outlet Manager or Food and Beverage Manager or Head Chef.
To ensure that all food and beverage prepared from the kitchen and Bar is of the highest standard, according to the standards of food and Beverage quality and presentation, by the resort.
Ensure, organized the smooth running of restaurant and bar operation.
To maintain a good working relationship with all your colleagues and all other departments.
To report daily to the outlet Manager or Assistant Food Beverage Manager and cooperate with other members of the F&B team.
To ensure stock take in all outlet is done correctly.
Follow verbal instructions given by the outlet Manager or Assistant F&B Manager or Duty Manager.
Ensure that staff is well aware of the specials of the day.
Lead by example by coming on time to work and avoid unnecessary absence.
Takes a professional interest in constantly maintaining a high standard of service in the all F &B Outlets.
Ensure ongoing briefing is done daily with the staff for morning AM shift or PM shift.
Ensures requisition is done daily on time and report to the Bar Manger if any product is out of stock.
Ensures that the outlets must be fully set up before service starts for each shift (AM &PM).
To maintain/supervise and organized, clean and hygienic work area.
Encourage staff to up-sale.
Make sure proper hand over is made before you live your work place.
Reports any maintenance request (Broken tables, broken chair…) to the Outlet Manager or Food and Beverage Manager so a maintenance request can been done.
Makes every attempt to prevent any damage, breakage, theft or loss of resort property.
Assist in reducing the overall food and beverage cost within given guidelines as well as other related expenses by controlling requisitions and maintaining adequate stock levels.
Makes suggestions to the Food and Beverage Director or Head Chef concerning improvement's which lead to a higher guest satisfaction and overall department profitability.
Reports to outlets Manager or Food and Beverage Director for correct disciplinary action to be taken against staff, fair and professionally to maintain a high level of staff moral and discipline.
Informs and consults the Food and Beverage Director or Head Chef on any problems, discrepancies and happenings with the F&B operation.
All requisitions must be filled out the day before issuing; must be signed by the Food and Beverage Manager or Head Chef.
Conducting and participate in brainstorm session regarding new theme parties, etc
Willing and able to handle all guests complains in a diplomatic and constructive manner and to inform the relevant department heads of the nature of the complaint and action to be taken.
Creating a high level of morale amongst staff in the department.
Schedule staff in accordance with management's guidelines and business trend to achieve high productivity and maximum output.
Selection Criteria:

• Outstanding communication and active listening skills
• Highly responsible and reliable with a professional presentation
• Good interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and confidence
• Proficiency in English, multilingualism will be considered an asset
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• The ability to cope under pressure
• Competent organisational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Good sales skills, both over the telephone and face-to-face
