Organisation Description:
An ISO9001 certified consulting firm, established in 2019, that helps local businesses and exporters meet international standards. It has allowed access to formal markets such as cruise ships and supermarkets in NZ, that require certification to international standards such as HACCP for food. It also consults in ISO9001 for manufacturers and service providers such as construction & HVAC companies, training institutes and regulators.
Job Desctiption:
The Certification Officer will deal directly with clients, under Management supervision, in
1. Coordinating certification projects for clients in the food industry
2. Assisting to document client processes in food production/manufacturing/export
3. Advising clients to implement safe food processes effectively and consistently
4. Organizing audits and closure of non-conformances
5. Follow up with Certifying Bodies to ensure certification is achieved on time and on budget for clients.
Selection Criteria:
At least a year of work experience, preferably in processing or QA/QC in the food industry but not essential.
At least a Certificate in Food Technology or Processing is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Qualifications in Science (Chemistry & Biology) will also be desirable.
To be able to write structured processes and procedures and communicate in English & Bishlama. French will also be desirable.
Salary:
