Organisation Description:
Wan Smol Bag's Youth Centre in Port Vila is a place where anyone can come to learn a new skill. It is aimed at youth from 13 to 25 who have dropped out of school or are unemployed, but we have members of all ages. Classes include, sewing, dance, art, music, circus, literacy, computer and much more.
Job Desctiption:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about art and is interested in running a daily class. The classes can be traditional art style like drawing, sketching and painting but also open to street art, sculpture and craft projects. There are also opportunity's to build set pieces and props for the theatre/variety shows.
Selection Criteria:
5 years experience of art practice (sketching, modeling, painting etc)
Fluent in Bislama
Experience in teaching art or craft projects
Well connected in the art scene
Interested in sharing skills and building up local talent
