Organisation Description:
The purpose of the college is to be the Centre for the training of farmers and acquisition of farming technologies and skills for enhancing agriculture production and in so doing contributing to the economic and social development of Vanuatu
Job Desctiption:
An experienced and qualified Human Resource Manager that will be responsible to ensure the College have a happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realize the college's established mission and objectives. Promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture. He or She will also ensure that the Human Resource practices of the overall College are complying with the Vanuatu Agriculture College policies and the Vanuatu Qualification Authority (VQA) standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, manage and monitor the College human resource development plan
• Manage Employee Recruitment and Selection Processes
• Promote a proactive working environment that safeguards the health and safety of staff, Students and stakeholders of the institution.
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
• Develop and execute a plan for staff training and development
• Report to Management Team and provide decision support through HR metrics
• Promote labour relations through management of compliance with various legislation and regulations
• Strengthen huma relations through discipline, performance management, complaint handling, counselling and coaching
• Develop systems for collection and management of employee records and employee benefits.
• Employ appropriate tools to manage employee performance and succession planning
• Oversee exit interviews and procedures
Selection Criteria:
Essential Qualification and Requirements
• Candidate applying for this position must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher qualification in the field of Human resource or related field
• Have an excess of 5 years of experience in the related field.
• Proven working experience as HR Manager or in an area of HR Executive
• People Oriented and results driven
• Demonstrate skills in handling HR performance measurement tools
• Knowledge of HR systems and database
• Knowledge of HR strategic plans and leadership skills
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the college
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
