Organisation Description:
The purpose of the college is to be the Centre for the training of farmers and acquisition of farming technologies and skills for enhancing agriculture production and in so doing contributing to the economic and social development of Vanuatu.
Job Desctiption:
The Vanuatu Agriculture College Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Cleaner to join our team. He or She will be responsible to ensure that the VAC assets (building, furniture & equipment are properly maintained by daily cleaning in compliance to VAC policy and VQA standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Carry out daily cleaning on classrooms
• Carry out daily cleaning in the ablutions
• Carry out daily cleaning in the Principal's Office
• Sweep all classrooms
• Dust and wipe all louvres in the classrooms
• Dust and wipe all furniture and equipment in the classrooms
• Carry out daily cleaning of the boys' and girls' dormitories and ablutions
• Carry out daily cleaning in the library
• Carry out daily cleaning and setting up of the conference room for meetings etc.
• Order cleaning supplies
• Produce quarterly report to supervisor
Selection Criteria:
Essential Qualification and Requirements
• Candidate applying for this position must have a Senior Certificate or Diploma in House Keeping or office cleaning and maintenance or related area.
• 2 Years' experience in housekeeping, office cleaning and maintenance.
• Demonstrate experience, knowledge and skills in cleaning and care of an educational or higher institutional complex.
• Practical and creative thinker
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Committed, punctual, honest and reliable
• Attentive to instructions and able to take initiatives
• Must have a high level of hygiene and cleanliness
• Excellent written and oral English or French and Bislama.
