The Financial Accounting Section is within the Department of Finance & Treasury (DOFT)
Job Desctiption:
To ensure timely payments to foreign suppliers and payments are in accordance with legislative requirements. Also assist with accurate recording and reporting of inflows and outflows of all development funds in the FMIS
Selection Criteria:
Qualification: Degree
Special Business Education: Financial accounting and management, auditing or related discipline
Experience: At least one year in the following- knowledge of accounting principles and practices, knowledge of financial reporting, some experience in project management and accounting, exposure to the Finance Management Information System.
Special skills: Accounting or arithmetic skills, computer skills especially in Word and excel, problem analysis and problem solving skills, initiative and dateline oriented skills, teamwork
Thinking style: Practical and analytical
Communication/ Interpersonal skills: Strong written and oral communication skills
Behavioral competencies: Honest, reliable and of good character. Is punctual at work
Language: English or French and Bislama
Salary:
PS 6.1 VT 1,906,500 per annum
