Job Desctiption:
- Under the general guidance of the General Manager, and within the limits of InterContinental Hotels Group and the Hotel's policies and procedures, responsible for leading the hotel's quality and continuous improvement philosophy.
- Lead the Quality and Continuous Improvement process and culture within the hotel.
- Retrieve, analyze and disseminate information from such business tools as IHG's Heartbeat portal Medalia, Colleague Heartbeat Survey and Action Planning, financial data and other sources of information.
- Identify root causes of problem areas in conjunction with the relevant teams and then work on solutions and develop subsequent new or revised processes to ensure that the problems are eliminated.
- Controls and analyses, on an on-going basis, costs to ensure performance against budget.
- Participate in the preparation of the hotels Strategic Plan, Marketing Plans and KPO Program.
- Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same.
- Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and enforce these in your areas.
- Initiate action to correct a hazardous/risk situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
Selection Criteria:
High school diploma / secondary education / equivalent plus 2 years of related experience in Quality Continuous Improvement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
