The Treasury Division is within the Department of Finance & Treasury
Job Desctiption:
To ensure adequate processes exist to properly track all government revenue and expenditure. To ensure adequate review and analysis of government revenue and expenditure is undertaken.
To ensure strategies are devised so that government meets established budget targets and operates within appropriations.
Selection Criteria:
Qualification: Bachelor degree preferably at honours level
Education: Accounting, economics, commerce or related discipline
Experience: Strong understanding of the government financial computer system features and procedures, experience in preparing and managing budgets in large and complex organisation, experience in preparing financial reports and recommendations for senior management.
Special skills: Quantitative and analytical skills of high order, strong spreadsheet (eg.excel) skills, ability to prepare and deliver training programs
Thinking style: Analytical
Communication/interpersonal skills: Strong written and oral communication skills
Behavioural competencies: Honest, reliable and of good character
Language: English or French and Bislama
Salary:
PS 8.1 VT 2,693,000 per annum
