Job Desctiption:
As the Factory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at optimizing productivity, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality. Below are the key duties associated with this role:
1. Employee Management: You will be responsible for overseeing employee attendance, scheduling, and working hours to ensure adequate staffing levels and optimal utilization of resources. This includes monitoring performance, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment to enhance overall productivity.
2. Supplier Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with local and international suppliers. You will be tasked with placing orders, negotiating terms, and monitoring payments to ensure timely delivery of materials while adhering to budgetary constraints.
3. Financial Oversight: This involves monitoring expenditures, controlling costs, and establishing selling prices to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
4. Inventory Management: Implementing effective procedures for controlling and monitoring stock levels. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory management systems, ensuring accurate tracking of materials, and optimizing stock levels to meet production demands without overstocking.
5. Safety and Security Measures: Ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets within the facility. This includes implementing and monitoring security measures such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and surveillance cameras (once approved), as well as ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.
6. Purchasing and Procurement: Managing daily purchases and expenses using petty cash. You will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, tracking expenditures, and maintaining accurate records to support financial accountability.
7. Packaging and Labeling: Organizing the design and production of labels and packaging is essential for branding and product presentation. You will oversee the development of packaging materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with brand standards.
8. Facility Maintenance: Monitoring the maintenance of essential infrastructure such as climate control systems, lighting, and doors is essential for ensuring operational efficiency and safety. You will coordinate maintenance activities, conduct regular inspections, and address any issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
As the Factory Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing various aspects of factory operations, from employee management and supplier relations to financial oversight and facility maintenance. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of the manufacturing process while upholding high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
