Job Desctiption:
Iririki Island Resort & Spa is looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor to be responsible for the day to day operation in the bar and provide an excellent guest drinking experience.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the duties for this role will include:
• Be responsible for the day to day operation of the bar
• Oversee overall bar operations and maintenance ensuring the bar is clean at all times
• Present and sell the beverage specialty
• Ensure drink orders are taken properly and deliver accordingly
• Ensure the highest level of customer service is maintained at all times
• Assist the F&B Manager and Outlet Managers in the smooth running of the F&B Department
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar
• Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Balance cash receipts
• Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, in order to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Order or requisition liquors and supplies
• Plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar
• Plan bar menus and create drink recipes
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Any other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager
Selection Criteria:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Minimum 2-3 years experience within a reputed hotel/resort
• Resume and proven working experience as a Bar Supervisor
• Liaise professionally with customers and fellow staff alike
• Excellent knowledge in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Excellent grooming standards
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Relevant training certificates
