Job Desctiption:
Forney currently has 180 employees and is continuing to grow. To support this growth and make sure our employees are being well looked after, we are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced HR coordinator/administrator.
This role will be responsible for the coordination and administration of various human resource functions within the organization to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing the entire employee life cycle, from recruitment to exit
- Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Coordinating and conducting employee onboarding and orientation
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and files
- Assisting with performance management processes
- Coordinating and organizing training alongside the Quality Assurance manager
- Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Providing support and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters
- Assisting with employee relations and conflict resolution
- Handling employee inquiries and addressing any issues that may arise
- Assisting with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- Compiling government paperwork associated with employee visas and work permits
Selection Criteria:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- At least three years of experience in HR, preferably in a coordinator or administrator role
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Vanuatu labor laws and regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in payroll advantageous
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the company.
- A degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is advantageous
- Speaks Bislama and English is highly regarded
