Organisation Description:
Our client, a major resort in Port Vila, is seeking a Sales and Reservations Manager who will directly supervise all front office personnel and ensure proper completion of all Resort front office duties
Job Desctiption:
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
• Having knowledge of entire Reservations Procedures;
• Responsible for Resort and Local Reservations;
• Handling all forms of correspondence;
• Monitoring Telephone Manner and general performance of reservations staff daily;
• Allocate daily tasks to Reservations staff;
• Review reservations booked daily;
• Review arrival report daily;
• Responsible for work schedule;
• Supervising of Group Reservations;
• Review room blocking for Long Stay Suites and special group requests;
• Maintain cordial relations with commercial clients;
• Identify Top Producing Accounts to ensure proper recognition by Reservations staff;
• Responsible for preparation of occupancy forecast;
• Responsible for maintaining a Neat and Orderly position at all times;
• Responsible for various Production reports and supply to each department concerned;
• Liaising with central reservations to communicate new rate plans and promotions;
• Responsible for recording Company/Travel Agent Rates both in system and correspondence files;
• Liaise with Sales Department with regards to occupancy, Rates Reservation's Analysis;
• Bring to the attention of the Front Office Manager & Rooms Division Manager any hotel availability changes;
• Responsible for ongoing Reservations staff training in conjunction with HR; and
• Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures with HR.
Selection Criteria:
Skills:
• Minimum of one year of hotel reservation management experience;
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (inc. Word, excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);
• Technological and accounting skills i.e., POS and RMS, Xero an advantage;
• Sales and marketing;
• Excellent verbal and written communication;
• Experience handling cash;
• Proven problem-solving skills;
• Exceptional customer service/people skills;
• Conflict and dispute resolution;
• Knowledge of Room Master hotel system an advantage; and
• Highly organised and efficient.
