Organisation Description:
Kava Processing and Exportation company, based in Northern Vanuatu is seeking a highly motivated and reliable technician to support our Microbiology Laboratory.
Job Desctiption:
Responsibilities:
Sample collection, preparation, and microbial cultivation.
Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures.
Ensure accurate and precise measurement of test results.
Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
Follow established safety and quality control procedures.
Research and update regulatory limits as required.
Perform data entry and calculations as needed.
Modify experimental procedures as necessary.
Assist the chemistry and R&D section of the laboratory as required
Selection Criteria:
BSc (hons) degree or equivalent in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years practical experience in a laboratory setting.
Excellent pipetting skills and knowledge of sterile technique.
Strong mathematical and organisational skills.
Good computer skills and ability to quickly learn laboratory software.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong English communication skills
