Natangora café is located along the main street of Luganville

 

Job Desctiption:

We are looking for an Executive Chef, a Chef and a kitchen Hand who is willing to join our team from the 3 properties.

 

Selection Criteria:

EXECUTIVE CHEF: An executive chef oversees the daily operations of restaurant and hotel kitchens. This may include hiring, training, and overseeing kitchen staff, and ensuring a high-quality, cost-effective product. Also known a chef manager or head chef.
Must be English speaking.
More than 5 years in the Kitchen Industry.
Advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices.
Proficient knowledge of human resources management.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.

CHEF: Responsible for using their culinary expertise to create appetizing dishes for diners to enjoy. Their duties include overseeing kitchen staff, tasting dishes before going to customers and restocking food produce as needed.
Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
Planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
Overseeing all kitchen operations.
Coordinating kitchen staff, and assisting them as required.
Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items.
More Than 3 years experience. English speaking & great teamwork.
Available to work shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.

KITCHEN HAND: We need Kitchen Hand to assists with the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Their duties include cleaning the kitchen, assisting with food preparation and keeping the kitchen orderly and efficient. A major part of their work involves dishwashing, cleaning of the cooking and utensils and kitchen equipment. In commercial kitchens, Kitchen Hands will also restock kitchen ingredients and other needed supplies. They assist with food storage and assembly. Kitchen Hands ensure that the kitchen and service areas meet hygienic and safety standards.
At least 2 years experience and Fluent in English in writing and speaking.
