Job Desctiption:
Responsibilities for Agriculture Executive/field officer
• Develop and manage a detailed work plan for the assigned project by the management.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
• Work with farmers, farmer organizations and relevant government authorities to develop cultivation model for the company.
• Perform soil and water sample collection and analysis for selected lands and give necessary recommendations for cultivation.
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within the budget.
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Report to management as needed.

Selection Criteria:
Key requirements
• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in agriculture or a related field. Crop science or soil science specialization is required.
• Minimum 3 years work experience with field operations and human resource management in Agriculture sector. Experience in project management will be an added advantage.
• In debt knowledge of agriculture, crop management practices, irrigation systems and water supply solutions in Vanuatu with emphasis on Santo and Malekula.
• Experience within extension services / farmer training, recruitment, and support to famer communities, experience from working with farmers and farmer networks, and plantation operations.
• A valid driving license for class B or more and a motorbike.
• Fluency in writing & communication skills in English & Bislama.
• High-level computer literacy in the use of Microsoft Office, Internet & E-mail.
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively and able to handle stress and pressure.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a project team.
• Excellent analytical skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
