SPBD Vanuatu is part of a network of microfinance institutions working in Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, ,Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. We are dedicated to eradicating poverty by empowering women in poor rural villages with the opportunity to start, grow and maintain sustainable, income-generating micro-enterprises, build assets, as well as finance home improvements and childhood education. SPBD provides clients with a range of training, financial services and ongoing motivation so that they can climb permanently out of poverty.

Job Desctiption:
CENTER MANAGER (LOAN OFFICERS)
Recruits, trains and works with women who run their own small businesses. Having good endurance, he/she drives every day to different villages throughout Efate to implement our program by conducting group meetings which runs up to 1 hour. He/She is articulate and comfortable speaking to large groups of women. He/She is respectful by displaying the ability and willingness to get along well with women of various social classes and educational abilities.
MAIN DUTIES OF CENTER MANAGER:
1. Recruit and train new client members
2. Prepare loan applications and make loan assessments for small businesses
3. Collect weekly repayments and savings
4. Maintain good loan portfolio quality and control.
Selection Criteria:
CENTER MANAGER
Must possess a valid driver's license
At least year 12 with 2 years of work experience in a community, commercial banking or banking organization with demonstrated success and progress well regarded
Social work experience would be well regarded
Experience with women's groups and committees also well regarded
Ability to relate to and promote the social mission of SPBD whilst enforcing and complying with commercial disciplines
Applicants with Certificate or Diploma in Business or Accounting is preferred.
Fluent in both Bislama and English
