The Espiritu is seeking an Experienced Head Chef to join their amazing Team.

Must meet the following criteria:
Minimum of 5 Year working experience
Certificate III in Hospitality (Catering and Cooking)
Menu planning & costing experience
Food safety standard training
Are creative & passionate
Excellent Communication Skills
Experience in managing a team

Good Time Management
Selection Criteria:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and train kitchen staff effectively to ensure a well-organized and motivated team
• Always ensure consistency in the quality of the dishes
• Ensuring docket times are within kitchen standard of 15 to 25 minutes
• Manages inventory and the purchase of food and breakfast beverage
• Manage cost controls of food and minimizing wastage within budget
• Maintains correct portion sizes & recipes
• Directing food preparation
• Enforcing food safety standards
• Supervising staff
• Scheduling staff shifts
• Ordering food supplies
• Accurately cost & create all menus including breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert & snacks
• Create and prepare daily/weekly specials
• Create and manage cleaning schedules
