Organisation Description:
ActionAid Vanuatu is an independent ActionAid Federation entity based in Port Vila. AAV is empowering Ni-Vanuatu in times of crisis to become galvanising community leaders.
Job Desctiption:
To coordinate the Ni-Vanuatu women leading nature based solutions to climate change project ensuring that project outcomes are delivered within the project timeframe. The position will provide leadership in ensure project activities are implemented on time and also complying with the contract including reporting and MEL requirements. The person will represent ActionAid Vanuatu in various spaces in relation to Climate Change for shared learning
Selection Criteria:
• Demonstrated experience in program management
• Has experience managing collectives or collectives
• Is committed to promoting Ni-Vanuatu women's rights in the community
• Understanding of Climate change and climate justice issues , agroecology , ,women's rights and disaster risk reduction in Vanuatu
• Qualitative analysis skills and basic statistical analysis skills.
• Strong written and visual communication skills
• An ability to work with rural women, with diverse stakeholders with differing levels of education and experience
• Project management skills and an ability to balance multiple projects and stakeholders at one time
• Experience in development of work plans and budgets
• Professional Fluency in Bislama and English
