South Sea Services Ltd is the communication link between the crew member and P&O Cruises Australia. We recruit Vanuatu Citizens who would like to work at sea on the Cruise Ships.
South Sea Services Ltd was in-corporate in 2002. We are MLC 2006 compliant and comply with all of the Republic of Vanuatu's laws. We do not charge any fees or accept gifts from our applicants for recruitment or placement of seafarers to specific vessels.
P&O Cruises Australia is a British-American owned cruise line with operational headquarters as part of Carnival Australia, based in Chatswood, New South Wales, Australia.
Job Desctiption:
The Commis De Cuisine 3 assists the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in producing and delivering the best possible culinary experience at sea.
The Commis De Cuisine 3 is mainly responsible for complete hot galley preparation like Breakfast, Vegetables, Fish, Saucier or Grill presentation and service to the guests. This will include both Day Lounge buffet service as well as Dining Room menu service. Also at the complete of breakfast service each day, this position will contribute and be involved with other guests food preparation and service as is required for lunch and dinner service.
Required to be involved with general cleaning of the galley, provision loading, help and support any area of the galley as needed, required and specified by the chef and/or other hotel/galley management.
Selection Criteria:
A minimum of 6 months' work experience working in a Hotel/ Restaurant Kitchen is mandatory before applying for this role.
Good English Language skills required.
Must be 21 years old or above.
8 Month contracts. 7 days a week. 8-11 hour days.
Placements are for P&O Cruises Australia vessels.
Salary:
AUD$678.00 per month
