Organisation Description:
VASANOC is Vanuatu's National Olympic Committee, Commonwealth Games Association, Pacific Games Association and Melanesian Games Association. It is responsible for Vanuatu's representation at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Pacific Games and Melanesian Games.
Objective of VASANOC is "To engage in and positively contribute to building a better Vanuatu through Sport"
Job Desctiption:
A unique opportunity for an experienced sports professional with a high level of energy and drive to work with this highly respected sporting organization as Sports Development Officer.
This is a full-time 4-year Term contract position whose terms of reference will be specified in the Contract.

Selection Criteria:
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
• A minimum 5 years in Sports Administration and/or general Administration.
• Evidence of leadership in sport (paid or volunteer)
• High level of facilitation skills.
• Good understanding of sports organizations & system in Vanuatu.
• Excellent verbal and written skills and computer literacy.
• Enthusiastic about developing sports in Vanuatu.
• Fluent in reading and writing English and Bislama with good understanding of French.
• Possess technical knowledge of sports system as it relates to VASANOC National Federations, Government and Non-Government Organizations.
• Able to establish strong networks and relationships with VASANOC stakeholders & communities regarding sports.
• Able to lead & participate in a team environment.
• Has high standard of oral and personal presentation skills.
• Able to find solutions to problems faced in implementation of duties.
• Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Able to teach & willing to learn.
DESIRABLE
• Possess a valid driving license.
