An opportunity is available for a suitably experienced and qualified BUSINESS ANALYTICS to be based in Port Vila.
Reporting to the Head of Finance and base in Finance Department, this position is a strategic role; established to lead an organization that gleans value out of data and elevates analytics to a strategic level across the organization for more enhanced strategic decisions on accelerating growth, enhancing productivity, improving risk control, lower costs, facilitate the development of a robust business strategy and finding new opportunities for innovative growth.
Selection Criteria:
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
(a) Evoluition of Business Analytics
- Define the needs and priorities for business analytics within the organization;
- Collaborate with each business unit to identify needs;
- Prioritize analytical needs and establish main priorities focusing on value drivers to
ensure alignment to strategic business objectives.
(b) Data Management
- Responsible for identifying data requirements and gather data through automated or
annual techniques;
- Development and documentation of data sources in support of expanding business
knowledge;
- Develop a solution for data collection to allow analytics of historical product based,
unit financial and statistical data reporting.
(c) Analysis & Reporting
- Develop (new) and prepare (recurring or specific) reports according to i) business unit
needs,
- regulatory requirements and iii) group expectations with the use of BIP and/or other
analytics software;
- Presents insights and recommendations to Head – Finance and senior management for
effective business decision making by producing effective reports and/or presentations.
(d) Budget
- Prepare the budget in coordination with the Head – Finance and the business units;
- Monitor and explain the variations between the budget and the actuals on monthly basis.
Required Competencies:
- Tertiary qualification – Minimum requirement: Undergraduate degree in Accounting,
Finance,
- IT or a related field from a credible tertiary institution;
- Experience – minimum of 3 years of experience in a role very similar to the functions
outlined above;
- Essential – high proficiency in the use of software systems such as Microsoft Office,
Excel and Flexcube;
- Fluent in English but being bi-lingual would be an advantage;
- Approachable personality, team player and comfortable working as part of a diverse and
multicultural financial or banking organization.
Salary:
Remuneration package is negotiable.
