World Vision Vanuatu is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.Since 1981, we have been working to transform communities through delivering programming in education, health care, water, agriculture and sustainable livelihoods.
World Vision Vanuatu currently delivers programs in four of Vanuatu's six provinces: Shefa, Sanma, Torba and Tafea. These programs address resilient livelihoods which includes agricultural and economic development, waste management and disaster risk reduction; inclusive WASH which integrates water, sanitation, health and nutrition; and gender equality which focuses on positive family relationships and the elimination of gender-based violence.
Job Desctiption:
The purpose of this position is to lead the Inclusive WASH portfolio contributing to the achievement of ensuring inclusive access to water, sanitation and hygiene by:
- Leading Program Staff in coordinating programming for all areas in which the various projects within the program work, including budgeting, planning, and implementation.
- Coordinating design, monitoring, and evaluation to a high quality for the overall program.
- Coordinating operational support for the program projects (ie work with WVV Operations and Program Quality to negotiate and secure consultant and surge support).
- Networking for greater impact with relevant National and Regional stakeholders, partners, and within in the World Vision Partnership.
Selection Criteria:
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least five years' experience working in programme management or similar role.
- High level working knowledge of adaptive programme management.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Social Inclusion and WASH
- Excellent written and verbal communication - fluency in English required.
- Relational skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment.
- Strong planning, organisational and project management skills and ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to maintain calm and work under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes or similar database, email and Internet.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems, persuade, network and negotiate.
- Demonstrated ability to work with autonomy, whilst working within a team to deliver high quality team products.
- Demonstrated high quality analysis and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated technical experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation theory, processes, and systems.
