Organisation Description:
World Vision Vanuatu currently delivers program in four of Vanuatu's six provinces: Shefa, Sanma, Torba and Tafea. These programs address Resilient Livelihoods which includes agricultural and economic development, waste management and disaster risk reduction; inclusive WASH which integrates water, sanitation, health and nutrition; and gender equality which focuses on positive family relationships and the elimination of gender-based violence.
Job Desctiption:
The purpose of this position is to lead the Ending Violence Portfolio contributing to the achievement of ending violence against women and children by:
- Leading Program staff in coordinating programming for all area in which the various projects within the program work, including budgeting, planning, and implementation.
- Coordinating design, monitoring, and evaluation to a high quality for the overall program.
- Coordinating operational support for the program projects (ie work with WVV operations and Program Quality to negotiate and secure consultant and surge support).
- Networking for greater impact with relevant National and Regional stakeholders, partners, and within the World Vision Partnership.
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree - Master's degree is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication - fluency in English required.
- Relational skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment.
- Computer literate in Microsoft office, Lotus Notes or similar database, email and Internet.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems, persuade, network and negotiate.
- Demonstrated ability to work with autonomy, whilst working within the team to deliver high quality team products.
- Strong planning, organisational and project management skills and ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to maintain calm and work under pressure to strict deadlines. Ability to work gracefully under pressure.
- Demonstrated technical experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation theory, processes, and systems.
- Experience in program or project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing,
- Representation to Ministers, high level of Foreign government officials (i.e High Commissioners), members of the Diplomatic Corps.
