World Vision Vanuatu is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Since 1981, we have been working to transform communities through delivering programming in education, health care, water, agriculture and sustainable livelihoods.
World Vision Vanuatu currently delivers programs in four of Vanuatu's six provinces: Shefa, Sanma, Torba and Tafea. These programs address resilient livelihoods which includes agricultural and economic development, waste management and disaster risk reduction; inclusive WASH which integrates water, sanitation, health and nutrition; and gender equality which focuses on positive family relationships and the elimination of gender-based violence.
Job Desctiption:
The purpose of this position is to support World Vision Tafea Area Program office activities by:
• Providing safe and timely mobility/transport for staff and visitors
• Maintaining World Vision vehicles to a high standard
• Preparing and maintaining vehicle documentation
• Maintaining the garden and office surrounds
Selection Criteria:
- Secondary School educated
- At least 1-2 years' experience working in a similar role
- Excellent and up to date knowledge of Vanuatu road/transport rules and regulations
- High-level driving skills and a valid driver's licence
- Clean driving record with no recent incidents/accidents
- Awareness of safety & security measures and basic first aid
- Ability to plan and prioritize driving requests
- Good verbal communication and relational skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English and Bislama
- Polite, friendly, positive attitude
- Strong team player
