Job Description
|
|
The Melanesian Port Vila is seeking applications from
interested and enthusiastic individuals to perform the following services of
the Porter/ Security:
• Providing good customer service • Meet and greet guests on check-in and out of the hotel • Assisting guests with their luggage • Preparing guest welcome drinks and welcoming them at the hotel • Keep the lobby area of the hotel clean, tidy and welcoming to the guest • Answering various queries from guests • Performing basic maintenance duties • Advising guests on hotel facilities • Take and deliver guests messages • Responsible for guest safety and security • Works in conjunction with other departments to maintain safety and security of hotel guests and staff • Carry out security surveillance around the hotel and maintain all security systems and procedures at all times • Update security log book daily • Perform other duties as assigned. This position is open to Ni-Vanuatu only. |

Selection Criteria
|
|
• Must be year 10 to 13
leaver
• Must have at least 3 years of previous experience in porter/ bellman in a 3 to 4 star hotel • Must be professional, courteous and presentable • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills • Be willing to work a variety of shifts, including Weekends and Public Holidays • Be willing to work long hours during busy period • Be punctual and trustworthy • Be willing to learn new tasks • Have a clean police report • Have the ability to work with less supervision • Must be a Ni-Vanuatu citizen residing in Port Vila. |
