Job Description
|
The position will
facilitate the design and implementation of New Zealand emergency response
and recovery programme activities with a focus on the Ambae volcano
response.
|
Selection Criteria
|
You must have the
following qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant tertiary qualification and at least three years relevant professional experience including experience in emergency response and recovery; • An understanding of development principles including sustainability, gender, human rights, and environmental issues; • An understanding of Vanuatu local governmental and administrative systems, customs and practices, trends and issues, and cultural, political and social environments; • An understanding of humanitarian and disaster management architecture in Vanuatu, including the humanitarian cluster system; • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, including the ability to work under pressure and to prioritise tasks effectively to deliver quality work on time; • Excellent written and oral communication skills; • Excellent relationship management skills and experience; • Competent in the Microsoft Office suite; • Understanding of budget and financial management; |
