The Melanesian Port Vila is current seeking to hire 1 Senior
Chef de Partie & 1 Jr Sous Chef for the below job description:
1 Senior Chef de Partie • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality • Supervising and training any commis chef working with you • Helping the sous chef and Executive chef to develop new dishes and menus • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins. 1 Jr Sous Chef - Have to be punctual, neat and tidy and maintain high level of hygiene - Be able to assist the executive chef to create menus from fresh local produce on season - Should be confident within all sections in kitchen operations - Possess good interpersonal skills; Be very customer focused - Be a team player and work well under pressure |

Partie
• Previous experience of at least 3 - 5 years working in a busy kitchen • Have to be punctual, neat and tidy and maintain high level of hygiene • Should be confident within all sections in a kitchen operations • Possess good interpersonal skills • Be very customer focused • Have a good understanding of food cost control • Be able to prepare all food item to order, following standard recipes and procedures with specific time limits • Be able to prepare food to order and requested temperature • Be a team player and work well under pressure • Be a Vanuatu citizen currently living in Port Vila. 1 Jr Sous Chef • Previous relevant experience of at least 3 - 5 years and qualification in food preparation and kitchen work • Have to be punctual, neat and tidy and maintain high level of hygiene • Be able to assist the executive chef to create menus from fresh local produce on season. • Should be confident within all sections in kitchen operations • Possess good interpersonal skills • Be very customer focused • Be a team player and work well under pressure |
