Job Description:
The Vanuatu Indigenous Land Defence Desk (VILDD)
works in collaboration with the Vanuatu Cultural Centre. The VILDD and the
Vanuatu cultural Centre’s mission is to Promote, Protect and Preserve
Traditional Value, Customs, and Cultures of Vanuatu. The Vanuatu Indigenous
Land Defence Desk is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position
of Program Coordinator.

Criteria:
- Must be at least 40 years of age and keep a tidy
appearance
- Must have a strong believe in the work of VILDD
- Must have a 3 – 5 years’ experience in similar position and/or related area of
work
- Full written and spoken proficiency in English and Bislama with an understanding
of some French
- A demonstrated understanding of Melanesian cultures
- Ability to lobby with the government on land issues and laws that will affect
the indigenous population
- Ability to organize and run regional gatherings
- Ability to work and report to VKS on the activities of the VILDD.
