We are looking for a Vanuatu Climate Action Network [VCAN] Project
Assistant position to join our Resilience team based in Port Vila with possible
travel to field sites.
Your major
responsibilities will be varied and will include:
- Providing
assistance to the Climate change advocacy coordinator [CCAC] in general
administrative tasks and implementation of Climate change program activities.

Criteria:
Required qualifications and skills:
- Minimum
high school graduate and/or vocational
training in advocacy, policies, networking, emergency response, disaster risk
reduction (DRR), climate change, food security, agriculture or gender projects
- Minimum 1-2
years relevant work experience, and/or activity implementation with an
International Non-Government Organisation (INGO)
- Good oral
and written skills in Bislama
- Ability to
collect information and produce concise and accurate reports
- Demonstrated
organisational and time management skills, including the ability to plan and
manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure timely processing
to meet deadlines in a complex environment
- Demonstrated
ability to take direction and to work and relationship building with
stakeholders,
- Demonstrated
experience in following standard policies, procedures and processes
- A
willingness to learn about CARE, gender equality and women’s empowerment
activities
- Basic
Skills in Microsoft Office with knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to work in
multi-cultural environment and contribute to a strong team environment.
