The Vanuatu Society for People with
Disability (VSPD) is currently seeking expression of interest for a full-time Partnership
Officer for 12 months.
The role of Partnership Officer is to identify,
create and maintain strategic partnerships across government, non-government
and community sector in order to increase partner capacity in Disability
Inclusion and support VSPD to fulfil its mission. More specifically, the
officer will:
Partnership building
- Undertake consultation with stakeholders,
develop stakeholder mapping/analysis and identify opportunities for
collaboration to enhance disability services and inclusion
- Negotiate, develop and manage
partnerships with key stakeholders (e.g. MOU or partnership agreement)
- Identify and develop referral pathways
with key stakeholders to improve availability of services for people with
disabilities across Vanuatu
- Develop and manage VSPD’s partnership
with the Vanuatu Skills Partnership to fulfil the objective of this coalition:
To work collaboratively with relevant Government and non-Government
stakeholders towards the development of partnerships and referral processes
which improve access to mobility device services and post-secondary education
and training for people with disabilities across Vanuatu
- Represent VSPD at relevant network
meetings (e.g. Gender and Protection Cluster, Vanuatu Civil Society Disability
Network)
- Provide regular reports as required /
directed
Partner capacity
building
- Identify and pursue opportunities for
partner capacity building in disability inclusion
- Work with the Vanuatu Disability
Promotion and Advocacy Association (VDPA), relevant VSPD staff and other
partners to develop a training module on disability inclusion
- Collaborates with relevant partners to
deliver training or awareness-raising as appropriate.
Criteria:
Technical skills and experience:
- Bachelor degree
in a related field (Law, Social work, Community Development etc) (desirable)
- Experience in
stakeholder analysis and maintaining strategic stakeholder partnership
- Skills and experience in designing and
delivering training and development
- Experience working within and contributing to an MEAL framework
- Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint required)
- Interpersonal, organizational, conflict
resolution and communication skills
- Ability to support senior VSPD staff members in accordance with
their priorities
- Sound knowledge on Convention on the
Rights of Persons with Disabilities
- Team Player.
