| Job Description:
We’re
seeking expressions of interest for a
Program Coordinator to
join us in Ambae as part of the Response Team. This
is a part-time position for 6 months.
Where you come in:
Reporting to the
Field Manager on Ambae, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the
overall objective of the Manaro Volcano response program to ensure
that children repatriated to Ambae are protected from abuse, exploitation,
violence and neglect through the provision of coordinated psychosocial
activities and assisted by the Project Officer.
The program will provide the children with a sense of normalcy, routine
and supervision in the midst of this major disruption to their lives.
Program Coordinator -
You will make an impact by:
Ensuring project activities are implemented
in line with government led response and recovery plans, with coordination via
government-led cluster coordination mechanisms. Activities will be implemented
in close coordination with the NDMO, Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Ministry of
Education and other relevant line ministries.
Criteria:
If we could compose the perfect you for the Program Coordinator role …....You display well developed verbal and written communication skills in both Bislama and English and you are able to clearly communicate sensitive topics. You are able to use participatory approaches during facilitation to ensure training objectives are achieved. You have demonstrated ability to build the capacity of others through training and coaching designed to develop skills, knowledge and abilities. You have demonstrated ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks while working to deadlines. You have demonstrated ability to coordinate and support groups of women and youth.
