| The Organisation |
| The aim of the Malampa Handicraft Centre (MHC) is to unite women, men and children, including people with disability from Malampa Province by providing an empowering space to engage in sustainable business and showcase and sell their locally made crafts. |
| The Position |
| The Business Manager will manage the MHC business towards becoming a sustainable social enterprise, producing and distributing a wide range of wholesale locally handmade handicrafts that meet the quality standards in product development, and also suits the local and international market consumer demand. |
| Essential Selection Criteria |
| ► Relevant business management experience in the handicraft or related sector |
| ► Strong marketing and business-to-business sales skills |
| ► Excellent leadership and people-management skills, including the ability to create a positive team-based environment in the workplace and to encourage continuous improvement. |
| ► Highly competent in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, email correspondence and Facebook for Marketing |
| ► Strong financial management and reporting skills |
| Desirable Selection Criteria |
| ► Ability to manage responsively and simultaneously multiple tasks in a challenging work environment |
| ► Ability to establish and strengthen stakeholder relations, and supporting business and community development |
| ► Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in Bislama and English, including strong report-writing skills. |
| ► Demonstrated understanding of social enterprise and women’s economic empowerment. |
