Job Description: The Public Prosecutor invites applications for one vacant post of Assistant Public Prosecutor level 1: scale PL 6.5 Duties and responsibilities: Prepare and prosecute criminal appeals in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Courts, and trials in the Supreme Courts and Magistrates Courts Assess a brief for sufficiency of evidence, write legal opinions and draft charges and other legal documents Liaise with and advise investigators Lead a prosecution unit, and supervise and mentor other prosecutors Carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the Public Prosecutor.  Criteria: Prescribed minimum qualification Education: Recognized university degree in Law or a French equivalent. A post graduate in law degree would be an advantage Experience: Admission as a legal practitioner without condition; high standard of relevant advocacy experience; sound human management skills, and good communication and inter-personal skills. Salary:

The salary scale of this post is PL 6.5 which is 3,527,600 vatu per annum.
