The Korman Complex is a Sport and Entertainment
Facility being built by the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu with the
direct support of the Government of the People’s Republic of China. This
facility will be used for the first time for the 2017 Pacific Mini Games to be
hosted in December 2017. It will be commissioned in September and October for
handover on November 01. An experienced and dedicated Facilities Manager is
needed to manage this facility. The position is a year long engagement, to
August 01 2018 with possible longer term engagement.
Open to experienced candidates who already are qualified to work and live in
Vanuatu, this position is an exciting opportunity to showcase a world class
facility for the biggest event in Vanuatu and to put in place good operational
plans for long term use.
Criteria:
- 10+ years in administration/facility coordination of a
sporting facility- either a private/public sporting facility, or with a large
hotel/office complex managing the facilities operations. Focus needs to be on
maintenance and facilities management, including budget development
- Event management experience. This would be understanding of event logistics,
and understanding of the requirements to manage large sporting and cultural
events
- Understanding/experience with multi sport games in either Sports or venue
Management an asset.
