Responsibility
This position plays the key role in ensuring that services for the spectators
are in place and that there will be orderly and safe entry/exit and use of the
sporting venues by all public.
Duties
- Coordinate with Ticketing the entrance requirements for all ticketed venues
- Coordinate with Venues the requirement for ticket rip areas, spectator queuing,
merchandise areas, toilets, and seating access and control
- Direct and manage a large team of volunteers to ensure ease of spectator entry,
lost and found, information, and access control
- Coordinate the public food offering program at all venues
- Assist in coordination of some core services for cleaning and waste management
at the sport venues.
Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience managing large and diverse
groups of volunteers
- Experience with planning large concerts/events with focus on customer
experience
- Excellent planning skills including demonstrated experience with Excel
- Excellent communication skills with emphasis on presentation
- Knowledge and understanding of crowed safety strategies
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Good organization and time management skills
- Must be a self starter
- Position requires a full commitment to the project as extensive and intense
work will be required to deliver this scope
- Fluent (written and oral) in English and Bislama - French is a definite asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
- Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
- Minimum year 12 degree.
