The 2017 Pacific Games are taking place in Port Vila
December 4-15 2017. The organizing committee is looking for people to join our
team as we are responsible for the planning and delivery of the biggest event
to take place in Vanuatu. If you can commit to long hours, hard work, being

Overall Description
The Workforce Manager is responsible to ensure that
the Volunteer program and associated labor support programs are managed
according to overall needs, timelines and budgets. The position must balance
the overall objectives of the volunteer program against the expectations of
communities, sponsors and other stakeholders. This is a senior position that
must be focused on process and communication. There are over 4000 workforce
associated with delivering the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in December 2017.
- Execute the required recruitment drive
- Engage the senior team leaders with a one on one approach
- Ensure that the processing of applications and assignments are made in accordance with the overall needs requirements
- Ensure the training plans are in place across all disciplines
- Ensure that the processing requirements of accreditation and uniforming are in place
- Ensure that check-in and daily support processes are in place
- Ensure that the workforce support team is ready and trained to meet deadlines
- Ensure the workforce policies are managed and maintained.
Criteria:
- Senior manager with extensive hands on experience in
the recruitment and orientation of large groups of people
- Process oriented person with demonstrated experience and knowledge of databases
for the management of information
- Experience working with and preferably as a volunteer on large multi-faceted project
- Must have excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Must have working and hands on knowledge of the local communities on Efate including
church, community and special interest groups
- Must have demonstrated staff management skills with at least 10 staff reporting
to the position.
