Job Description:
The Melanesian Port Vila is current seeking to hire
three (3) Chef de Partie for the below job description:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
- Supervising and training any commis chef working with you
- Helping the sous chef and Executive chef to develop new dishes and menus
- Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.

Criteria:
- Previous experience of at least 3 - 5 years working
in a busy kitchen
- Have to be punctual, neat and tidy and maintain high level of hygiene
- Should be confident within all sections in a kitchen operations
- Possess good interpersonal skills
- Be very customer focused
- Have a good understanding of food cost control
- Be able to prepare all food item to order,
following standard recipes and procedures with specific time limits
- Be
able to prepare food to order and requested temperature
- Be a team player and work well under pressure
- Be a Vanuatu citizen currently living in Port Vila.
