Job Description:
The Vanuatu Basketball Federation is looking for a National Basketball Development Officer for a 4 year contract to develop basketball in Vanuatu.

The applicant should:
  • Be knowledgeable about the rules and game of basketball 
  • Play to a reasonable level
  • Be able to teach drills and run activities with children and young adults
  • Be proficient in administration work.
The applicant must:
  • Prepare a calendar of annual basketball competitions for adults and students
  • Organise and run multiple 3x3 tournaments throughout the year
  • Organise and run basketball championships yearly (3x3 and 5x5)
  • Conduct a program of activities in schools
  • Conduct after school and weekend competitions
  • Keep details of numbers of players
  • Give a detailed monthly report of player numbers to the VBF and FIBA
  • Give a detailed monthly report of activities/clinics to the VBF and FIBA
  • Promote basketball in the outer islands and provinces
  • Assist with the securing of sponsors
  • Assist with the activities of the H4H Program
  • Be able to communicate in English or French and Bislama.
