We are looking for a Logistic
Officer Background to join our team based in Tanna with possible travel required to other sites and must hold a current
drivers license.
Your major responsibilities will be varied and will include:
- Ensuring
CARE Logistics function is efficient and maintains an updated inventory and
asset list in compliance with CARE’s policy and guidelines including;
- Managing
the CARE Tanna warehouse, ensuring effective controls, storage and movement of
supplies in and out of the warehouse
- Ensure
registration, marking, and tracking of all assets on receipt of the asset(s) by
recording and updating the Asset Register and affixing CARE and Donor (where
applicable) Asset Tags
- Managing
staff Travels for CARE Tanna Office
- Ensure
that Tanna Office is fully compliant with CARE including providing hardware and
software support to CARE Vanuatu staff and visitors, in coordination with Port Vila CARE office.

Criteria:
Required qualifications and skills:
- Management
and/or minimum 2 years relevant work experience, preferably in logistics with
an International Non-Government Organisation (INGO)
- Excellent
communication skills in Bislama and good in English
- Ability
to ensure the implementation of intricate logistics/storage transactions
- Demonstrated
high level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to
plan and manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure timely
processing to meet deadlines in a complex environment
- Demonstrated
experience in following standard policies, procedures and processes
- Demonstrated
honesty, reliable and trustworthy
- Demonstrated
ability to take direction and to work as part of a team
- A
willingness to learn about CARE, gender equality and women’s empowerment
activities
- Proven ability in managing a budget and/or
cash; and
- Intermediate
(very good) in Microsoft Office with knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel and
excellent numeric skills.
