Job Description:

Applications are invited for the position of Payroll Clerk for Air Vanuatu (Operations) Limited. The position will be based at Air Vanuatu Administration Office, Port Vila, Vanuatu. The position will report directly to the Manager Employee Services. Applicants must be suitably qualified for this position and meet the following criteria:- Criteria: Diploma or Degree in Business Administration at a recognized Tertiary Institute Demonstrated ability to use computer based payroll systems to calculate, allocate and accurately action the payment of staff salaries and associated deductions Demonstrate experience and knowledge in a variety of PC based programs including the full suite of Microsoft office applications Fluency in Bislama and English essential - French desirable  Ability to manually modify computer records by evaluating and assessing the data from a variety of official forms and submitted paperwork Excellent administrative, organizational and planning skills  Ability to work weekends, Public Holidays and Overtime, when required Excellent oral, written and communication skills required Work under the strictest code of confidentiality and display the highest level of ethical behaviors Must be able to provide Police Clearance and a Medical Report declaring fit for all duties Ability to professionally respond to legitimate questions regarding payroll matters which require some legislative and company policy interpretation Administer the statutory leave time, such as sick leave and annual leave for employees.
