The Ministry of Justice and Community Services (MJCS) wishes to recruit a suitably qualified person to the following position:
Job Title: Provincial Officer Community Services – Shefa
(for the Disability Desk)
Post Number: 100037
Job Level: J
Grade: Cs 2.6
Criteria:
Special Business Education
- Social and Community Work or related field of study
– qualification in a program with focus on community-based rehabilitation for
persons with disabilities is highly preferred
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in community
development and administration or social work
- Working cooperatively and effectively with
communities and handling people with all forms of disabilities
- Ability to think practically, strategically and
analytically with a think through approach
- Effective listening, verbal, presentation and
written communication skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- Have some technical skills on the provision of
disability equipment
- Ability to work with provincial disability
committees and other disability organisations in Shefa Province
Special Skills
- Computer skills – well suited in Microsoft
programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
- Some understanding of the Convention on the Rights
of Persons with Disabilities
Languages
- Very good command of written and spoken English and
Bislama languages. French is desirable.
